WELCOME TO GRANADA

Welcome to Granada, home to La Alhambra, a World Heritage Site, known worldwide for its Nasrid palaces, the city's most emblematic monument and a must to visit.

The city of La Alhambra offers a rich heritage of historical monuments that you should visit during your stay.

This practical guide brings together routes and places of interest which are essential to ensure a complete overview of the city and its possibilities, which are yours to enjoy even if your stay is short.

On the street map of Granada, found on the back of this guide, we have drawn two routes: tourist and commercial.

TOURIST ROUTE

The Alhambra, Albayzín, Centro and Realejo are the four areas of the city recommended for your visit.

La Alhambra and its surroundings are fundamental and you should also stroll around the Moorish neighbourhood of the Albayzín, where you can explore its picturesque streets and squares, accompanied at all times by the silhouette of the Alhambra which dominates the skyline. San Nicolás square and its viewpoint provide you with the chance to contemplate the most beautiful sunset in the world (Bill Clinton, 1997). Take a walk along the Carrera del Darro considered one of the most beautiful streets in Europe. Tour the bustling centre and be sure to visit the Cathedral, a mix of architectural styles.
